Big 12 releases preseason all-conference team

The Big 12 Conference released its preseason All-Big 12 Football Team on Wednesday, with West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith and Texas defensive end Alex Okafor chosen as offensive and defensive players of the year.

Overall, the list held little intrigue as conference favorite Oklahoma filled the list with five Sooners along with five Oklahoma State Cowboys. They were followed by four Longhorns, three Mountaineers and Kansas State Wildcats, two players each for Baylor and Iowa State, and one apiece for TCU and Texas Tech.
