In a statement released from Lubbock as the team sets itself for a Wednesday game against Texas Tech, Kansas State announced that junior forward Jordan Henriquez has been reinstated from the indefinite suspension levied against him by head coach Frank Martin last week.
“I feel the time away has helped Jordan re-energize and re-focus his efforts for our basketball team,” said Martin. “He has three years of credibility built up in our program and has been an outstanding representative of Kansas State University, having earned recognition to two Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Rolls. Like a lot of young people, he just lost his focus and needed time to understand his priorities.”
Martin said that Henriquez returned to practice on Tuesday and traveled with the rest of the team to Texas for Wednesday’s game at the Red Raiders. He is available for the game, but Martin indicated he had not determined whether he would play in the game.
